Each carrier is required by law to have active cargo insurance, and we verify this before every move to ensure your car is fully covered during transport, giving you peace of mind with every order.

Make sure to remove any EZ-Pass, fragile items, and interior or exterior accessories that could be damaged during transit. Also, have a key available to provide to the carrier.

Your shipment allows up to 100 lbs of personal items or household goods, stored in the trunk or securely below the window line. If you plan to exceed this weight, please notify your shipping agent, as additional charges may apply. Above Auto Transport and your assigned carrier are not responsible for personal items left inside the vehicle.

It is essential that you, or a trusted adult, are present for both the pickup and delivery of your vehicle. This person will play a key role in the shipping process, including documenting the vehicle’s condition and signing the Bill of Lading, which serves as a receipt for its condition.

Transit time for your shipment depends on the distance, time of year, and the specific route. Auto shipments can take anywhere from a day or two to a few weeks. Severe weather and challenging road conditions may occasionally affect delivery schedules. Typically, cross-country car shipments take about a week to 10 days.

The most convenient option is to pay for your shipment in full by credit card when a carrier is secured. This allows us to manage all logistics, including payment to the carrier for their portion of the shipment.

Alternatively, if you choose to pay with cash or a certified check upon delivery, the remaining balance is due to the carrier at that time. The certified check must be made payable to the carrier company.
